Tiger Mauled by Cougar

So, Golf.com writer David Dusek posted a photo on Twitter of, I can only presume, Tiger’s staff bag. Gone is the Buick sponsorship, so now it seems he’s playing for himself – no swing coach, no major sponsorships, just TW.

Reminds me a lot of the plot twist in “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” when his car gets a new, personalized, paint scheme of “ME” in lieu of any primary corporate sponsorship. And there’s a cougar thrown on the hood for good measure, a reference to when Ricky’s estranged father returns to see him through his hardships (read: losing his wife, children and delivering pizzas on stolen bikes) by putting a cougar in a car and making Ricky drive it. Sounds like something Earl might have actually considered doing …

Nonetheless, interesting life imitating art comparison isn’t it?
